Edgar Allan Poe was an American romantic poet, recognized as one of the universal masters of the short story. He was a revivalist of the Gothic novel, remembered especially for his horror stories.
In this illustration I wanted to remember the artist with a night portrait. Poe is surrounded by four recurring resources in his written works: the lamp, the canine, sorrow and the crow.
